After a successful c-mash 2026, @Wolvechen and I want to do another c-mash in 2027!

To Do

Things we want to gather here include but are not limited to:

  • Date!! We need to find a good date somewhere around spring and summer of 2027 where a lot of people can come.
  • Suggestions
    • stream setup
    • schedule
    • tournament format
    • housing related stuff
  • Feedback for c-mash 2026 to keep in mind for c-mash 2027

I would like to participate if possible. My girlfriend and I are potentially planning a vacation for Europe next year.

I really enjoyed the last c-mash with the super cool venue and great location. My suggestions for the next one:

  • Date: March 12-14 - should allow for smooth travel with a low chance of weather-related disruptions (Ex. ice)
    • Alternatives: early/mid April, early May
  • Tournaments:
    • Vanilla Singles
    • Vanilla Doubles
    • Remix Singles
    • Remix Doubles

Regarding tournament order, in the past some people in EU expressed being more comfortable with Vanilla events before Remix.

Im most likely busy from mid march to mid april.

Im not avaible The weekend 30th April - 2nd of May neither.

Summer is usually not the best time for indoor smash imo.

Some suggestions: late feb/early march
the weekend 7-9th of May
14th-16th of May
27-29th of August
September is usually a really good month with few international tourneys (and its not too hot in Europe)

For Tournaments:
Vanilla Singles, Vanilla doubles and 12 CB Crews were really fun. Hopefully we can have all of them again. For the friday it can be a good time for remix singles, cus then the people that arent to interested can play friendlies.

Some feedback, for the early bracket the mic sound was a bit low/not working on one of the mics. But it worked very good for top 8 commentary.

Maybe next time have stream and commentary for Vanilla Doubles as well on sunday before we leave. We had it on a side stream withouth commentary this year.

But overall I really liked the tournament and the venue, was super good. So will recommend everyone to go!

for berlin, there are not that many weeks of the yewr that are too hot, and those that are are pretty much exclusively in july or august. so i think no worries there.

Tentatively interested in coming!
It might line up with something else I was planning and flights look super cheap currently (relatively) :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I’ll wait and see what things look like once a final date is nailed down to actually seriously consider it. Because who knows what might happen with costs these days
